Dear Karate Manitoba Members,
I am pleased to inform you that Karate Manitoba has
officially been accepted as a provincial
member with the NKA. I received a letter yesterday as
confirmation. We are looking forward in
working with the national body and taking part in their
events and activities. There will be
greater opportunities for our athletes, coaches and
officials as the NKA is the body that is
recognized by Sport Canada and the Canadian Olympic
Committee.
It has taken us a number of months, but last week the NKA
executive sent their recommendation
to the national counsel which was approved and ratified by
vote. As further developments
unfold, those will be shared with you and posted on our web
site.
